Reborn collectable baby dolls

Real to life baby dolls

A look into my miniature world.

Another passion of mine other than reborning is the tiny world of dollshouses. Here below are a series of slide-shows showing firstly my pride & joy,a 13 room Oasthouse in 12th scale. My husband & I built this from scratch on the dining room table, by moving it to the back we still had space to eat all our meals. Then not realising just how big it would be and how small the area was between the dining room and the hallway, you can imagine the fun and games we had moving it into the sitting room. It took 2 men to carry it and lots of backwards and sideways manoevering before finally getting it set into its pride of place.

It is actually based on a real building in Faversham, Kent...................Broomhill Oast.

The family living here is the Bassett's. Granny & Grandpa, John & Sally ( mum and dad ), Andy the son, Jade the oldest daughter and baby Molly. At the moment they have relatives visiting and so have a bit of a house full. Its a good job they have all those rooms!!!!!

The following slideshow is of the inside of Broomhill Oast. Many of the items I have made myself or have created from bits & pieces found in charity shops or bootfairs. I do have some very high quality items too such as Reuters porcelin, Cranberry glass, Swarovski crystal and Heidi Ott but I do have many more items from the lower priced end of the market. It is not all about the value though, it is more about how things work together.

As well as my Oasthouse I also have a couple of 12th scale shops too. This next slide-show is of my garden centre Daisy Chains. This is hardly any competition for Wyevale but is a small family run business for all your gardening needs. It started life as just the main shop but I have added a roof garden and side & front garden areas too!

Finally we come to Jebediahs Emporium, a vast treasure chest full of unusual artefacts from around the world. A typical aladins cave of antiquities run by Jebediah Gutbucket and his long suffering wife Esme. They live in the flat upstairs to the shop. If you can spare a few moments please pop in and have a good look round!!!!
